BBC Apologizes for Platforming Man Who Claimed to “Love Smacking Up” Women as “TERFs”
Surprise, surprise. Another obvious woman-hating man actually hates women.

A piece appeared in The Telegraph recently with the following title: “BBC Apologises After Interviewing Transgender Athlete Who Boasted of Violence Against Women.” Ewan Somerville explains, in essence, that a man with a history of celebrating “smacking up” women seems questionable. Obviously. Fallon Fox, a U.S. Navy veteran and the first openly “trans” MMA fighter, has form in this regard. Surprise, surprise. Another obvious woman-hating man actually hates women. Color me surprised.
On June 16, 2020, Fox tweeted:
For the record, I knocked two out. One woman’s skull was fractured, the other not. And just so you know, I enjoyed it. See, I love smacking up TEFS [sic] in the cage who talk transphobic nonsense. It’s bliss! Don't be mad.
As reported by Dawn “ABC Producer Who Changed Gender Three Times” Ennis in the Los Angeles Blade, Fox has responded:
They frame it as I’m a ‘transgender athlete who boasted of violence against women’ as if I was talking about fighting all women in the MMA cage. I specifically mentioned TERFs. And I had good reason to call them that and feel that way about it. Especially since our jobs were to actually try to beat each other up.
Here Fox utilizes a popular framing of “oppressed” “trans women” punching up against “oppressive” “TERFs.” But “TERFs” are, in fact, assumed to be women who do not submit to men claiming proprietorship over womanhood. This dynamic matters. Heterosexual males who sexually objectify lesbians similarly reframe themselves as poor “trans lesbians” being discriminated against and oppressed by actual lesbians. But the reality has been men, who already have held power over women, consistently punching down on women even more.
In a recent Facebook post published on June 17, 2022, Fox wrote:
Cisgender women have dominated sports for far too long! What about the opportunities for trans women that they strip away when they compete against them and win?! #ProtectTransWomen #StopTheMadness #FairnessInWomensSports
Tongue in check [sic] I know. But seriously though, there are far more cisgender women breaking records and winning tournaments or major competitions over trans women then [sic] the other way around. Which amounts to lots of lost opportunities for trans women.
Don’t worry though. We won’t advocate for segregation because the chips are stacked against us.
Men declaring themselves “women” and being enabled to further subordinate women has to be among the great madnesses of modern times.
A defender of males in female athletics on the basis of males declaring themselves “female,” Ennis wrote a 2020 piece for Outsports titled “Dear TERFs: A New Year’s Message to Transphobes from the Managing Editor.” Commonly, we hear the claim that males who declare themselves “female” are no different in comparison to females—“another kind of women.” Ennis tells us:
Women who don’t menstruate, cannot conceive, or breastfeed are still women. Trans women are another kind of women. If this were not true, medical institutions, universities, state and federal governments would never allow trans people to change their gender markers on their IDs, as I have, from ‘M’ to ‘F’ or vice versa. If you really must know, most sexual partners, even gynecologists (at first glance) can’t detect the difference between a post-op trans woman and a woman who’s been female all her life. That’s not meant to condone non-disclosure; the vast majority of trans people are proud to say who we are and how we’ve improved our lives for the better by transitioning.
Sure, Don. Law and medicine have never been manipulated to serve forms of tyranny multiple times in history, with horrific results for civilians being persecuted for resisting. I am kidding. The profit motive behind medical transitioning appears so powerful that it has, in part, seized the state—not totally, yet. And the idea that removing a man’s penis makes him indistinguishable from a woman derives great influence from cosmetics and porn. It merely reproduces, by knife to flesh, Aristotle’s misogynistic view that “the female is, as it were, a mutilated male.” Why must we, as a society, indulge this misogyny, as if divinely ordained, rather than posing resistance to it?
For more on Ennis, see Tara Palmeri’s 2013 piece titled “I’m a Guy Again! ABC Newsman Who Switched Genders Wants to Switch Back,” published in the New York Post.
My analysis of males declaring themselves “female” and competing against females in sport appeared on Women Are Human in 2020 under the title “Misogyny and Sex in Sport.” My point is simple and still holds true: Obviously, men capitalize on this nonsense and exploit it at women’s expense. Men’s desires must be opposed if they infringe upon women’s rights.
Many self-declared “progressives” championing Fox, the ones who moralize the most, have ignored his past comments on Black women. According to Fox in a lesser-known 2014 interview for Bloody Elbow, Black women, on average, “have the same bone density as white men.” Fox claims that, if males like himself are to be separated from females in sport, then the same would apply to Black women “because of their bone density.”
Suzanne Forbes-Vierling, a Black feminist, had pointed out this piece—apart from Fox’s more well-known woman-hating. She and I have talked about Fox’s views on Black women being indicative of prevailing misogyny and racism. In the aforementioned interview, Fox said:
In my opinion what I see is him [Joe Rogan] alluding to bone density being a factor as seen in the attached video. Then, later, he said that bone density decreases. But, all of this bone density stuff is irrelevant. Because, as Joe Rogan may not have known before he stated, ‘the operation doesn’t shave down your bone density’—and before Ronda Rousey went on her inside MMA rant on the dangers of bone density—there were black women who were fighting in MMA. Yes, you read that right, I said black women. The reason why I bring this up is because black women on the average have the same bone density as white men. At the bottom of the list in bone density are Asians. They happen to fall way down there. This can easily be Googled. I dare either Joe Rogan or Ronda Rousey to express the opinion publicly that black women should be segregated in a fighting class of their own because of their bone density. Perhaps they would if it were socially acceptable to do so for entertainment value, or to keep a black opponent away because of fear of a potential loss, I don’t know.
Such words may seem like a “cancelable” offense, but men who declare themselves women can say whatever they want about women. After all, “trans scholars,” as Genevieve Gluck has investigated, have presented on “sissy porn” at universities like Princeton. Men who declare themselves “women” can define “womanhood” by male sexual objectification and be published, but actual women cannot then criticize them without being punished. It sounds remarkably like a sexual double standard. Imagine that.
Like most transgender rights activists, Fox denies biological and physiological differences between the sexes have any impact on athletic performance. Thus, a man who simply declares himself a “woman” must be permitted to play against women. Otherwise, male exclusion can be compared to racial segregation, a popular trope also repeatedly used by Fox and others.
Fox’s comments on Black women also reveal the extreme racism within the misogyny of transgenderism. The belief in females having “masculine” bodies “needing” to be “feminized” supports the imposition of cosmetic surgery and its profitability. Forbes-Vierling and I read it as being why men who claim proprietorship over womanhood consistently equate themselves with Black women. It seems of additional interest that most of the men drawing this analogy are white and use Black men like Fox and Laverne Cox to validate it. This male property claim to femaleness has remained bound to mystification and pseudoscience sanctioned by law and medicine.
Forbes-Vierling has discussed the misogyny and racism characteristic of modern transgender rights activism in the essay “American Racism in the Colonization of Womanhood,” also published on Women Are Human. It would be worth considering why proponents of modern transgenderism buy into nineteenth-century-style misogyny and racism. Until the obvious has been realized, men will continue using their religious identities—I mean, gender identities—to facilitate harm.
If men who declare themselves “women” have been so horribly oppressed, then why do the stupidest of them keep getting platformed and published? For being voiceless, they have quite a lot of power in defining others’ perceptions. Even the most brilliant women have been marginalized, punished, many times seen, by default, as inferior to far stupider men. Studying women of letters has taught me such terrible truths. But men who declare themselves “women” appear to be praised in public almost exclusively for mocking women as, it seems, a way of life.
