Dylan Mulvaney was an obscure male actor until this year, when he adopted holy pronouns. Since then, his career track as a mediocrity has met with phenomenonal success.

In just 222 days, he won endorsements from a cosmetics company, a tampon maker, and an American president, all of whom seem to think that men like Mulvaney are the electoral and cultural future.

With the midterms less than two weeks away, this is Joe Biden’s closing argument for Democrats facing the voters: a man in womanface discussing “Barbie pockets” and a White House conversation that is supposed to change the American mind.

It is their 21st Century vision. It does resonate with the public, but not in the way they imagine. I have never seen a wedge issue that kills Democratic voter enthusiasm quite like this one.
