Good article, but I don't see any exalting going on. Let's not fall victim to the temptation to exaggerate the way our adversaries do.

I'm also curious about the source of the assertion that Benedict was being affirmed as NB by some teachers in school. I haven't seen any credible evidence to that effect, just folks repeating assumptions and wishful thinking.

Based on what we know now it seems possible that her "identity" was something private shared only with friends.

Dyscommunicado

Eye opening article, but I’d like to add a spin: imagine there’s a hideous compliment to Harry Potterland “muffliato” called “dyscommunicado” which renders speech to be gobbledygook. I of course blame the existence of Dyscommunicado entirely on J.K. Rowling.

Let’s remove the dark arts spell

“dyscommuncado”

With the counter-spell

“luicida-sans”

We read:

“Ingesting”: taking

“falsehoods”: lies

“LGBTQAlphabetical activists”: loudmouths

“critics of gender ideology” : ordinary people

“transphobic students”:bullies

“interpersonal violence” : beaten up

“gender neutral”: wrong

“follow into martyrdom”: copy the suicide

“ingredients”: drugs

“fluoxetine was the first psychotropic medication we prescribed commonly”: we usually prescribe the drug Prozac first

“…psychotropic drugs ‘should be handled only by the adults…’ : drugs are an adult responsibility

“dispersed to children”: given to children

“Fluoxetine and other SSRI antidepressants”: drugs to relieve sadness

“ideation”: thoughts

“Minority stress theory”:being different is tough

“a bullied minority”: bullied

I understand what happened, but it’s incredibly hard to pierce the veil of Dyscommunicado

Help Professor Snape!
