President of Pauli Murray Bar Association Dons Pedophile Cape at Public Fundraiser

The NCBA has been in hot water for cancelling a drag show, however the poor Character & Fitness of their SOGI Committe has brought dishonor and shame to the organization & to the legal profession

On Thursday 8 June 2023 the Pauli Murray LGBTQ Bar Association scheduled a Drag Trivia night at the Motor CO Music Hall. The event was originally supposed to be hosted by the North Carolina Bar Association and had been organized by Milan Thuy Trihn Pham who is the Chair of the NC Bar’s SOGI (Sexual Orientation Gender Identity) Committee. However, the event was later canceled by the NC Bar’s president Clayton D. Morgan just a month before it was scheduled to take place, as reported by the Daily Beast. Morgan cancelled the event out of fear that the event would be seen as a statement that would worsen the current political climate since Republicans filed a bill titled H.B 673 earlier in April, which would classify drag as ‘Adult Entertainment.’ Naturally this led to backlash from many news organizations ranging from the Charlotte Observer, Spectrum News, and WSOC-TV. It even garnered some attention from the ACLU.
