'The Girlfriend Who Didn't Exist' Exposes the Male Narcissism of an Abusive 'Trans Woman'
Stop the Presses - 24 August 2022
He is the most famous catfish of all time. Ronaiah Tuiasosopo toyed with Manti Te’o, Heisman Trophy-winning Notre Dame linebacker, for three years by pretending to be a Polynesian woman on Facebook. Conducting an elaborate, cruel hoax, Tuiasosopo used emotional manipulation to sabotage Te’o on the eve of the 2012 national championship game against Alabama. His career never recovered.
An opening disclaimer makes clear that Te’o, like everyone else interviewed for this two-hour Netflix “Untold” documentary, did not know that Tuiasosopo now “identifies” as a transgender woman. I braced myself when I saw the words on the screen, but this turns out to be a crucial stroke of genius(?).
By speaking to everyone else first, and Tuiasosopo last — a normal progression for documentarians — Tony Vainuku and Ryan Duffy have neatly bypassed the problematical pronouns. Whether they meant to do it or not, the result is perfect peak trans material.
Tuiasosopo is laid bare as a malignant narcissist. His cruelty is matched by his self-serving excuses. He hated football as a boy, hated growing up in a family of men who play football, and found a way to imagine a different life with Facebook.
Stealing a classmate’s photos, Tuiasosopo created an entire family, performing the roles both on Facebook and even in phone calls from different phone numbers, playing a sinister head game on a genuinely decent human being for his own amusement. This is toxic male behavior in a gay man with internalized homophobia.
Now a “trans woman,” Tuiasosopo is relieved it’s all over. He feels much better about what happened. He forgives himself for what he did. He wants to celebrate his new life. His authentic life. The life where he gets to pretend that he’s a pretty girl every day, and make everyone else respect it, not just online but in the real world. He doesn’t have to pretend anymore, hooray. We do.
Manti Te’o…well, he’s a better man than me. No spoilers, but do bring back strength of character as a value in the culture, please.
Tell all your friends, peaked or woke, to watch Untold: The Girlfriend Who Didn’t Exist. If the usual suspects are not denouncing it as “transphobia” yet, that is probably because they worry it might peak the whole planet, and they simply hope everyone will ignore it if they pretend it isn’t there, like they do with detransitioners. Speaking of whom…
DETRANSITIONERS EXIST AND THEY CAN SUE: Sydney, Australia woman Jay Langadinos is taking the doctor who enabled her self-harm to court. Expect more of the same.
Solicitor Anna Kerr, of NSW’s Feminist Legal Clinic, who referred Langadinos’ case to legal firm Slater and Gordon, believes the legal action is “likely to be the tip of the iceberg”.
“We can expect to see extensive litigation in future years related to gender-affirming cross-sex hormones and surgeries,” she said.
We look forward to further judicial recognition that detransitioners exist.
DONOVAN CLECKLEY WRITES GOOD: Our resident literary critic has been looking into the “long tail” of John Money. Money is the original root citation for all arguments that “gender identities,” fixed or fluid, even exist at all. His views on male violence, especially sexual and romantic violence, are a disturbing annex to his sick experiment with the Reimer twins.
GRAHAM LINEHAN INTERVIEWS JULIE JAMAN: It was our privilege to break this story at The Distance and our coverage continues. Graham Linehan, the GC Johnny Carson, interviews the woman at the center of the storm in Port Townsend, Washington. Organizer Amy Souza and YMCA whistleblower Kaeley Triller join the panel.
RELATED: WASHINGTON WOMEN WON’T WHEESHT: Gender critical partisan activity has increased in Washington state. Radical wrongthinkers were sighted at the Washington Corrections Center for Women this Sunday afternoon. Trigger warning, invalidation here:
Then they blitzkrieg’d the nearest YMCA to demand that Julie Jaman, the 80 year-old woman harassed and mobbed in the streets of Port Townsend last week, be allowed to swim in her city pool again. The operation was over before rainbow regiments could react in force to kettle them against a brick wall.
Sources indicate that further activities are being planned for the near future. Larger crowds are expected and no target is off the table.
THE EVIDENCE-BASE IS WEAK: The “science” supporting pediatric transition never improves, but that doesn’t matter to activists doing social engineering and calling it “science.” One day they will be held accountable for the harm they enabled.

BORN THIS WAY: Ben Appel, author of the forthcoming memoir CIS WHITE GAY: The Making of a Gender Heretic, talks about his youth in a cultic community, which equipped him to navigate the cult-like atmosphere of the LGBTQIAlphabet activism “community” in American higher education.
A VOICE OF THE REALITY-BASED COMMUNITY: Philosopher Peter Boghossian likes to help people question their opinions and assumptions. According to his critics, this is “invalidating” and “hate speech.” But here is proof that you don’t have to change your opinion as long as your assumptions are solid.

EMMA HILTON HAS A SUBSTACK: And she’s writing about fruit flies, hooray!
HE IDENTIFIES AS TRANSINNOCENT: A pedophile hunter conducted a sting on a trans-identified man in a park. People called police on the pedophile hunter because surely that gentle, innocent trans woman needs assistance! Police arrived, shrugged, and let the “woman” who wants small children to stroke his penis walk away scot free, because hey, who wants that kind of hassle?
The decoy then advised Westfall she also had a 1 year old sibling, stating “she’s probably too young” for sexual activity, to which Westfall replied: “That doesn’t bother me. Never too young to start learning!”

WE’RE ALL DOOMED: “An existential threat from a highly advanced alien species, but you’d rather spend money on ‘diversity and inclusion officers’ than developing counter-measures to save the entire world? Actually that sounds suspiciously accurate, now that I think about it.”
