These Women Invite You To Hold The American Civil Liberties Union Accountable
On Friday 11 August 2023
As the old progressive chant goes, “this is what democracy looks like.”
The pendulum is swinging. Americans will not meekly accept the totalitarian hand of “gender identity” activists setting every agenda under the blinkered, false rubric of a freedom and justice movement.
Organizers have chosen the 11th of August to hold a protest at the Capitol building in Washington, DC, so that Congress can see there is a growing countermovement to the insidious demands of the gender lobby.
“We are calling everyone who cares about the treatment of women and free speech to tell the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) that they are done pretending to represent either,” the organizers say in a draft email seen by The Distance.
“The ACLU has long been an organization that many people look to for help and support when their civil liberties are being violated,” they note. “However, in recent times, the organization has been failing to protect the very people it was created to serve.”
ACLU attorneys have been instrumental in the quiet, but successful, campaign to insert men into women’s prisons, even intact convicted rapists.
As a result of the ACLU’s efforts, women in American jails have been raped, abused assaulted, and impregnated by males claiming to have “gender identities.”
In a perverse turn, the ACLU has sued to suppress public records in Oregon regarding transgender prisoner transfers to a female facility.
Bending reality until it breaks, the ACLU maintains that it would be impossible for them to recognize any difference between “trans women” (men) and “cis women” (women) in a prison setting.
Following the advice of the most prominent international legal firm in the world, the ACLU — like the gender identity lobby in general — has consciously kept this work out of the public eye as much as possible, with no real public debate, because they know that the public would never stand for it.
Whereas the American Civil Liberties Union has been seen as a pillar of human rights for a century, today its mission has transformed into something that Americans of conscience find intolerable: an enforcement agency for a misogynist totalitarian ideology.
Jennifer Thomas, lead organizer of the Friday 11 August event, argues that “the ACLU is the legal agent of the gender industry. They are not fit for purpose.”
The plight of women in prisons where men are being housed was one of the reasons Thomas began speaking out against gender identity in policy and law. She was at Port Townsend last August and was also involved in Kellie-Jay Keen’s 2022 American tour.
August will also be “a #freeSpeechForWomen #freeSpeechUSA event,” Thomas says. Views expressed at these gatherings are always diverse, running the gamut of opinion but united in their demand to be heard.
“Women from all around the world have attended #freeSpeechForWomen events. We hit every demographic because women are half the population, and women are the ones that are most concerned about the devastating impact on Women’s Rights and the health and wellbeing of the children,” she says.
Thomas has reserved the permit at the Capitol Building area 10. Now an experienced organizer, she will prioritize site security and good relations with law enforcement.
A draft organizing email shared with The Distance reflects her concern for liberal free speech principles that were once core to the ACLU mission.
“The ACLU's handling of women's issues has been particularly disappointing, and its stance on free speech has left many of us deeply concerned,” they say.
For instance, Chase Strangio, an ACLU lawyer has said “Stopping the circulation of this book is 100% a hill I would die on” when speaking of Abigail Shrier’s book Irreversible Damage. Either speech is free or it is not. To have freedom of speech in a country, ALL must have it or none do. Our forefathers knew this when they were writing the constitution. This means we must defend speech even when we do not agree with it.
“For too long, the ACLU has ignored the voices of women who have been mistreated, harassed, and discriminated against,” the email reads. “The organization has consistently failed to take a stand against sex-based violence and discrimination.”
On the contrary: the ACLU only ever seems concerned about freedom of speech when the “speech” is pornography. Especially pornography about children.
Abuses are manifold. “Girls and women in sport are being robbed of prizes and opportunities by boys and men pretending to be female,” the email says.
“It's time for us to come together and demand that the ACLU takes women's issues seriously.”
The ACLU “no longer represent women and in fact are behind nearly all the pro-gender identity legal statutes and government policy intrusions on parental rights and women’s rights in America,” Thomas says.
In August, “we will show the ACLU that we will not tolerate their inaction on women's issues, and we demand that they take a more absolutist approach to free speech,” the email says.
“The ACLU is the next logical step in fighting the gender industry because until we publicly denounce them, we won’t see new civil liberties law firms rise in its place,” Thomas explains.
All the big civil society organizations are broken by gender identity. Either they must reform, or be replaced, or America will stop being a civil society.
“People still believe the ACLU protects their civil liberties. Everyone must understand that the ACLU no longer protects our liberties. This must be made clear so that we can attract the leaders necessary to build anew,” Thomas says.
“We will have key note speakers, then everyone that would like to speak will receive 3 minutes at the microphone” from noon to 4 PM. “We will try to accommodate all that wish to speak, time willing or until our permit expires.”
Although women are organizing the event, Thomas says an increasing number of men are taking up the cause, and that it is time for American men to step forward.
“All Men and Women are welcome,” she says. Courage calls to courage. “Speaking, and hearing people speak their stories, is the highlight of every free speech event, and we invite all to share in this experience.”
“Together, we can make a difference and ensure that the ACLU upholds the values of justice and equality for all,” the email reads.
‘For all’ includes you. “If not you, then who?” Thomas asks. This is not just a fight for women. This is everyone’s fight now.

The ACLU has always been deeply misogynistic. For at least 40 years they have allied with pornographers to suppress women's voices who speak out against this form of hate speech against women. There is no crime against women that the ACLU considers to be extreme enough to be considered a hate crime against women. Under the aegis of Anthony Romero the ACLU has become so unchecked in its sexism that it even changed the historical words of Ruth Bader Ginsberg and erased the existence of half the human race in RBG's quote. The ACLU is deeply covert-right and has long provided a home for people like Alan Dershowitz, Harvey Silverglade and other misogynists masquerading as liberals.
It's about time, too. ✊🏻👏🏻
