Vanderbilt Hospital Cites 'Parental Consent' But Parents Cannot Consent To Emotional Blackmail
'Trans suicide' is extortion
Caught red-handed by conservative journalist Matt Walsh yesterday, Vanderbilt University Hospital has scrubbed their website of everything related to “gender affirming” medicine. Mainstream media is reporting the story as a dangerous example of right wing fanaticism, insisting that nothing is out of the ordinary.
But any opinionator who cites the “parental consent” of children being sterilized and mutilated for profit will come to regret it soon enough. This legal fig leaf will not save Vanderbilt, or the American hospital system, from the consequences of the pediatric transition fad.
It will fail as a courtroom defense because the “trans suicide” myth has been used to extort family participation. Parents cannot consent to emotional blackmail.
In a Twitter thread last night, Matt Walsh restated an argument that canceled liberals and lefties, myself included, have been making for ages: where were all these supposedly-suicidal “trans kids” before they were discursively constructed as a medical category just a decade ago?
Consider the timeline of Jazz Jennings, subject of the “reality show” which has done so much to inflate the “trans child” phenomenon.
Jazz received a puberty blockade at 11; suffered a mental breakdown at age 12; underwent gruesome surgery to construct a “neovagina” from his micropenis at age 17; suffered another mental breakdown at 18; remains fragile, obese, unmatured, shorter and less accomplished than all of his siblings at 21.
Jazz is not thriving. Jazz shows signs of stunted brain development. That is what happens when you sterilize a prepubertal boy. We knew that, once, but we have pretended to forget it as a culture so we can celebrate the “authentic selves” of the mutilated children.
It will all end in litigation. Quite by coincidence, the first American law firm dedicated to litigating detransition lawsuits just announced their first case filing yesterday. Jackson Bone LLP did not name their client, but watch this space.
Not by coincidence at all, Tennessee state legislators are moving right away to investigate and pass a law based on Walsh’s reporting and lobbying.
Meanwhile, the usual suspects at Media Matters are comparing Vanderbilt Hospital to Dr. George Tiller, the murdered abortion provider who was subject to intensive reporting by then-Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.
Sterilizing children is not a problem, you see. Talking about it, though — that will make people do crazy things. Which, in turn, justifies everything, starting with censorship.
But this metaphorical bomb has already detonated in Nashville, so to speak. The dead and wounded already exist. Hospitals like Vanderbilt that have taken part in this barbaric social experiment are all on the hook for their role in the horror.
Hundreds of families were told that their children would kill themselves without “gender affirmation.” This is a lie. It has always been a lie.
There is no science to back it up and the best long-term study shows a manifold increase in suicide risk among the post-transition population.
Jazz Jennings has a far greater risk of suicide today than if his body had been left alone.
The girls have it worse. Surgeries to create a fake penis have a 100 percent complication rate, which is fine with Vanderbilt, since it just means repeat customers.
All of this will come out soon enough in the crushing wheels of courtroom process and legislative committee hearings.
I warned fellow Democrats that this would happen. I said, “stop pushing the child castration agenda before you make guys like Matt Walsh into truthtelling heroes.” And look, he has become one.
I also said, “stop pushing the child castration agenda before you make someone like Ron DeSantis president.” At this rate, a political reaction will become unavoidable.
Democrats have married themselves to the “trans child.” Any unraveling of the “gender identity” project threatens careers and reputations across the party, from the White House on down, not to mention the broader “progressive” social movement.
So pay no attention to the lies. Keep speaking the truth. They are not really afraid of right wing violence. They fear justice. They are terrified of consequences.
