A double-blind laboratory test that can detect and measure the alleged phenomenon
To date, the true nature of the phenomenon known as “gender identity” remains nebulous to our human understanding. Sure, people “express” themselves in various ways that cultures decide are “masculine” or “feminine.” In that sense, “gender” is a performance, just as Judith Butler argues.
A discursive, or inhabited, construction. A state of mind in the person. A feeling. A spirit. A state of belief in one’s own narrative of being. In a word: Bullshit. Gender identity is whatever bullshit story a grown-up tells themselves about who they are, or tells about what kids say they are.
Michael Hobbes is a ‘debunker’. He says that children really are born with magical, mystical, invisible senses of self — souls, body thetans, or gremlins, basically — that are objectively more real than their sexed human bodies. This assumption underlies all of his ‘debunking’ when it comes to the child-sterilizing woo cult of ‘gender’.
As Hobbes ought to know, being the super-expert on this topic, all but two of the original Dutch protocol ‘patients’ were same-sex attracted, a supermajority of the Tavistock cohort were same-sex attracted youth, and Ken Zuckerberg was destroyed and his clinic shuttered in 2015 for the crime of reproducing decades of results that show most ‘trans kids’ are gay when they grow up.
The reason why present-day gay adults have credibility when they say ‘That would be me’ is because we have tons of data that ‘trans kids’ are actually mostly just gay kids, if you leave them alone. Hobbes waves all this away with the assertion that “Child psychologists know the difference between gay kids and trans kids”, which is simply false. And we can prove that it is false.

Second, because no one has ever demonstrated competency at choosing the ‘trans kids’ from the gay kids. The science simply does not exist. All ‘gender identity’ pronouncements are solipsistic psychological constructs. Gender dysphoria resolves in the vast majority of children who are not medicalized. This is the actual science.
No one has ever demonstrated that ‘trans kids’ exist in a laboratory setting. We offer Mr. Hobbes this opportunity to make scientific history.
The Distance will award $10 MILLION to Michael Hobbes if he can demonstrate a mechanical, chemical, or electromagnetic sensor apparatus that detects and measures ‘gender identities’ in double-blind laboratory conditions with high reliability.
Submissions must already comply with US medical device and testing standards. All submissions are subject to evaluation for reliability and must be accompanied by the body of peer-reviewed medical scientific literature underlying the technology. A winning submission must also exceed the accuracy of an eyeball test at childbirth, which can detect the objective biological sex of a newborn with 99.982 percent accuracy.
