I read dozens of Substack posts from nominally Democratic parents who said they were voting for Trump to protect their kids from the gender clinics.

Just imagine, nightmare number one, their child on TikTok walks in and announces he's "trans."

Harris just smiled smiled smiled and endorsed "trans."

Great interview, Matt. I was familiar with Ruy but had never read his writing or heard him interviewed (I vaguely remember the Liberal Patriot). I appreciate you mentioning the Helen Joyce comments from her interview with Boghossian, still some of the most significant points ever made in the “trans” debacle in my opinion. I was surprised neither of you mentioned Seth Moulton and all the fallout that has happened since he dared to say he didn’t want his daughters being “run over” by boys on the playing field. Also, as I’m sure you know, Janice Raymond was one of the first to predict many of the problems that have indeed come about with “transsexualism” in her 1979 book.

WELL SAID. All very very good points and good to include in any discussion of this sort. Thanks for sharing Ruth.

This man is an idiot. Since this interview the blockage of the Strait has accelerated the move to renewable energy, which is in many cases now cheaper than fossil fuels.

Calling it "climate alarmism" in a talk that makes many good points stands out like a cigar butt on an angel food cake. Every year sets new high temperature records.

I owned land on Phu Quoc Island that I expected to make a lot of money on; that land is now underwater.

You lose me in treating global warming as just a "woke" issue.

The heating has been worse and faster than the most pessimistic models predicted. To dismiss it as alarmism is irresponsible.

Since 2011, the climate change models touted by doomsayers have all come from a set of assumptions known as RCP8.5 that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) now admits are “implausible”.

Read that word again: "implausible."

This “means that almost every fearmongering mainstream media climate headline and story that has been written over the last 15 years is junk”, Chris Morrison writes at Daily Sceptic. “A long and painful process of rehabilitation now seems likely.” https://dailysceptic.org/2026/05/05/ipcc-admits-apocalyptic-climate-scenarios-are-implausible-meaning-most-media-scare-stories-over-last-15-years-are-officially-junk/
