I am with you on the depleted empathy point. Someone trying (successfully) to get rich and famous from pretending to be a girl and causing harm to young people by normalizing such behavior is fair game for ridicule and denigration, as are ALL celebrities in our warped culture. People get to make fun of and be shocked by Madonna for her weird and grotesque plastic surgery too. It might be mean to Madonna, who is a real person with feelings, but she has chosen her life and benefitted from her fame. And she gets to keep her money if some people want to make comments about her. She knows what she signed up for in wanting to be a celebrity and get rich from that path. Similarly to DM's harmful cultural impact, there are consequences to the mental health of aging women (anyone over 30) to normalize the endless and ultimately pointless (just friggin' look at her!) pursuit of youth.

Also, "Cult of Endocrine Quackery" is good. To echo the sound of "Church of Scientology," could also be the "Church of Endocrine Quackery."

But can you say it three times fast

No, I can't. It comes out "Endo-quin Quack-a-wee" like I'm Elmer Fudd. That would be a funny skit, Elmer talking to Bugs about this stuff. Bugs himself was pretty gender-non-conforming, he might have been at risk as a baby bunny!
