But one thing a class helps with is learning to tolerate feedback without getting defensive, and make constructive use of it. (A lesson that Genspect is still desperately in need of, by the way). Every piece you write is analyzed by the teacher AND each other student (in college 200-level and above writing classes anyway). You get 15 or so detailed responses to every piece. INVALUABLE.
Everyone gets feedback from everyone else, and the teacher sees everyone's feedback. The result is that everyone tries to be diplomatic, since they know they'll get the same as they offer in return, and the teacher will get on them if they're mean, besides.
Thankyiu I will get this book beautifully written review and the telling of her sounds compelling and multi layered x
Unfortunately Thrace still seems somewhat captured by the AGP, based on her online posts.
I very helpfully included a quote in this review from a Substack piece of hers that tells you exactly what she thinks about AGP.
This again? Being able to ignore AGPs does not constitute being in their thrall. Quite the opposite.
Luckily, those "online posts" are available so people can see for themselves.
Anyone can write, you don't have to take a class.

But anyway. Thanks for your feedback! 😉
Wow, no need to get so defensive!
You're welcome 😇
