Just a reminder that it's nearly impossible to understand the nature and significance of the experiences of the parent speaking without knowing how old the child in question was at the time being spoken of. The emotional, physical, social, medical and legal considerations change so quickly for minors and young adults. Please tell us how old they are. Thanks!
