Since we’re all speculating on his underlying motives, I suspect McBride is simply trans-maxing. He had the foresight to recognize the career opportunities that would open up through his sex mimicry. I think he has more in common with Dylan Mulvaney, another phony careerist.

I think you're right.

One correction to an otherwise excellent piece: Timothy McBride was married to a woman who pretended to be a man. So, he's not gay. He's mostly likely an autogynephile, although only he and this therapist, if he has one, can say for sure.

And yes, you're right: by now, all the Democratic politicians pretend-wringing their hands over the HHS regs (as a liberal, I almost always voted for members of that party until recent years) have to know about the Cass Review, so they have to know that they are supporting horrific experimental procedures on children.

But they don't care. They will uphold the party narrative in what should never have been a political issue. Political power is more important to them than children's broken bodies.

And that's why I would sooner vote for a month-old prune danish that's developing green fuzz around its edges than for one of these so-called "Democrats." They are not members of the party of the same name that gave us JFK, FDR, Medicare, CHIPS, and social security.

It is now the Transqueer Party.

Always a fun read, if not to be so sad.

In all my reading, there are no accepted treatments that combine:

* chemical irreversibility

* operant or social reinforcement

* identity instantiation as a treatment goal

None!

We are discussing the “Hotel California” of therapy. Your kid goes in, but can never leave.

Abomination.

>Yes, I am deadnaming ‘Sarah’ McBride

No, you are truenaming Timothy.

I always strive to avoid using the language of the cult.

I thought I read elsewhere that May Lau did leave Texas but turned up at a practice in Oregon? Also, what is the (first) most common comorbid condition with “gender dysphoria” in minors if autism is the second? Thanks for all your work, Matt.

Same-sex attraction is number one. IIRC 62 of 68 respondents in the original "Dutch experiment" said they were same-sex attracted.
