Alabama 'Trans Nonbinary' Man Bombed Office Of AG Who Took On WPATH: FBI
Attorney General Steve Marshall: 'This was not a random act of violence'
Kyle Benjamin Douglas Calvert, 26, a resident of the east Birmingham suburb of Irondale, was arrested by federal agents on two felony counts of malicious damage by explosive and possession of an unregistered destructive device.
“That device had the characteristics of an IED, and Calvert added a substantial number of nails and other shrapnel to increase its destructive capability,” US attorneys said in a court filing on Wednesday, according to NBC News.
Prosecutors asked the judge to keep Calvert in jail pending trial. The IED, or improvised explosive device, was also a firebomb. “The addition of ignitable liquids to the IED demonstrates weaponization characteristics due to the enhanced ability for the IED to initiate a fire.” Luckily, no one was hurt and damage was superficial.
Investigators added that Calvert had expressed his “belief that violence should be directed against the government, and he has described his inability to control his own violent, aggressive impulses” in social media posts and stickers he had left on state buildings.
No motive has been released. “Although more information will be provided in the weeks to come, I think it is safe to say that this was not a random act of violence,” said Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, whose office was the target of the attack, in a press release.
“The detonation happened one day after the state attorney general's office said Marshall did not plan to prosecute in vitro fertilization providers or families after a controversial Alabama Supreme Court ruling,” NBC News suggests.
However, since Calvert reportedly identifies as “trans nonbinary,” the case of Boe v Marshall is also likely to rate as a proximate motivation for his decision to build and use a terroristic bomb.
During 2023, Marshall’s office successfully defended Alabama SB 184, the Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act (VCAP), against a challenge by activist lawyers in the Eleventh Circuit.
During the legal battle, Marshall’s office used their discovery power to interrogate the evidence base that WPATH, the World Professional Association of Transgender Health, used to formulate their guidelines for pediatric sex trait modification.
WPATH was required to explain “the process WPATH used to create, review, and adopt their position statements, treatment guidelines, and standards of care regarding transitioning treatments,” provide their “review of the literature related to transitioning treatments for minors,” and their “reaction to members’ concerns about pediatric transitioning care in America.”
As we have rcently learned through the WPATH files, a tranche of documents and internal communications of the organization which was leaked to journalist Michael Shellenberger during 2023, their so-called “gold standard of care” has been an ideological mission carried out on a poor evidence base.
The Distance first explained the significance of the case last June. The Bad Facts Substack recently reported that trans rights lawyers on the case “may be fined and suspended from practicing in two districts of Alabama” for attempted judge shopping. One is them accused of perjury.
This week, the Cass Review, a systematical medical literature review conducted by York University in the United Kingdom, found that WPATH and the Endocrine Society had cited one another as their authority in circular fashion, exactly as the discovery process of Boe v Marshall had also revealed, in order to conceal their flimsy evidence base.
Revelations within the Cass Review are having seismic political effects on the issue in the United Kingdom. Boe v Marshall has likewise been an embarrassing disaster for the legal project to build and defend a pediatric sex trait modification industry in America.
It remains to be seen what role, if any, the case and its outcome played in Kyle Benjamin Douglas Calvert’s alleged crime. However, we should absolutely expect zealots of transgender ideology to act out on vengeful and aggressive impulses as the childhood sex lobotomy industry collapses. They say it out loud in the form of a “Trans Day of Vengeance.”
